A great opportunity has risen for a Policy and Public Affairs Assistant in London to support our ambition to influence the new government to take bold action on clean air.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will support the devising and implementation of public affairs plans, aimed towards politicians in Westminster. You’ll aid us in identifying opportunities to influence the political landscape and build relationships with our key stakeholders across government.

You will have some knowledge of UK parliamentary politics, and a keen interest in environmental, transport and health policy. You will be proactive and organised in helping manage our large funded project. You will be a good communicator and team player, inputting into our creative and evidence-led policy and public affairs plans.

As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits including 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), membership of a health cash plan, employee assistance programme, cycle-to-work scheme, interest-free annual season Travelcard loan and pension scheme. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation committed to being the driving force behind the transformation of lung health.
